I am a registered Libertarian, and am quite disturbed by this. It seems that some Libertarian "higher-ups" are willing to sacrifice the dignity and important messages of us Libertarians just in order to combine forces with another party in order to increase chances of being elected. That's fucking bullshit, selling out the party's message so that a few Libertarian politicians can increase THEIR chances of elections. I guess those who are trying to sell us out are like the other political parties; more concerned about protecting the elected politicians than the citizens they were elected to protect.
Also, Libertarians are unlike Greens/Socialists in that they are for using war if necessary, but not wars that have nothing to do with protecting the US. Libertarians believe that we should revert to our nationalistic, secular, neutral ways that we had in the US prior to WWI. We believe that we are too much involved in dictating foreign affairs, whether through war---or just giving out BILLIONS of dollars in US taxpayers' dollars in order to support, protect and/or buy the alliance of foreign countries, such as Germany, Japan, Russia, etc. Do you people know that the US spends BILLIONS of dollars each year on the national defense of countries like Germany and Japan? Those countries don't really have a military; the US spends BILLIONS of its own money to train, feed and place troops within those nations' borders to act as those countries' militaries. Why? Because the US governent, whether run by Democrats or Republicans, would rather spend BILLIONS to have the US military keep a lid on people such as the Germans and Japanese, rather than let those two countries stand on their own two feet and have their own military. This is another form of the US controlling and meddling in foreign affairs------at taxpayer's expense---in order to avoid any competition with our country.
