Lets talk radar detectors

Ive had about 5 speeding tickets in the last year since my work is driving all over texas. Obviously this costs money. Whats are some good radar detectors? Thanks robs

None. By the time you're allerted it's too late. Seeing how laser can peg you at atleast a 1/4 mile. Just go 10 over on hwy you should be fine. Anything less and youre empeeding traffic

I have a Valentine One and its useless against Lidar> I have been stopped 3 times this year in SC, Al, Fl and GA. All departments are going to Laser and when it goes off you are caught. There is no defense for it..

Set your cruise for 9 miles over the speed limit and let it ride.

I drive between 2,500 and 4,000 miles a month with my job. In 16 years and almost half a million miles, I've had one accident (not at-fault) and one speeding ticket (got that reduced to a non-moving violation).

I've been pulled over and given a warning 3 or 4 times in those 16 years. That absolutely will not happen if the cop sees a radar detector on your dash.

Detectors are useless anymore as previously stated by everyone. If anything they are just incentive for the cop who pulls you over to actually ticket because its like waving a red flag around saying that you intended to speed. Two words? Slow Down...
