legs are hurting....

ok guys...need some help...did a new leg routine today. quads only,,,,,and i think i overtrained them....i never thought i honestly could say that but they have given out on me 3 times today....and its kinda embbarassing falling at work in front of people and look like a big pussy,,,,,i have been taking glutamin all day and have drank a gallon of water and eaten over 4000 cals today....is there anything else i can do....?
 
Sounds like you worked them uber hard and they're just acting gimpy on you. Get a good night's sleep, maybe take a muscle relaxer and then start tweakin if it keeps up tomorrow. If it does act up again which it prolly won't, call your doc.
 
There's nothing you can do other then giving them time. Eat sensibly, rest and everything will fall into place.
 
Stretching will help but fiber micro trauma has to take time to heal (compensate), then a few more days for them to supercompensate.
 
take an anti inflammatory (aleve or motrin) pain killer, massage lightly to get the blood flowing, hot bath with epsom salts, and sleep.

I train legs once a week. did them monday this week and they still dont feel totally right. Its the same every week, my legs ache for a few days after working them. I dont think thats a bad sign really bro, just shows your working them hard. If your pecs where sore for a few days after a heavy chest session you wouldnt worry would you? You just notice it more because you use your legs directly all day whereas you wont notice other muscle groups as much.

I agree with what others have said though, try a hot bath or even better ,a jaccuzzi.

yep..and one more thing try to squat again a few days later..not heavy just enough for a good quad pump..
 
You have done a good workout. Now relish the pain and weakness like the reaping of the harvest it is.

just to let everyome know....thanks for the tips....the legs feel much better today...still sore but not in horrible pain....slept 9 hrs last night and girlfriend did a rub job on them......

i keep asking sugarplum to rub my legs but she turns me down..lol
