Somehow I fucked up my knees while doing squats and deadlifts. The doc says I have chondrolomacia, which is basically a roughening of the cartilege behind my kneecap. My knees are now weak and pop and crack when i bend them.

I have to stay away from squats and deadlifts, so what to do? Anyone have any suggestions/advice? Any alternative leg exercises? Anyone else ever had this problem? :worried:

is the pain in your knees unbearable? you could try doing some leg presses until they are better, or just take some time off, i would try the first though. when you get back to doing squats, i would reccommend doing some box squats, and getting your legs wider apart. with your legs wider apart (more of a PL style squat) will take some of the stress off your knees.) i dont understand how you hurt your knees doing deadlifts. it was probably just from the squats, but i could be wrong.

anyone else have any advice on this???? I'm really worried about this shit....

that knee pain can be caused from over use too. its common in cycling. you can rehab it by using a stationary bike, and dont let your knees bend more than ninty degrees. doing squats and deadlifts will aggravate it unless you dont bend your knees past ninty. take care of it and rest man.
