Well I got hassled by thai customs for trying to take out just 100 amps in tv250 in their original boxes. Customs even called over a plain clothed american guy to inspect them ( I presume a dea or us customs agent on full time duty at bkk airport ). ( I was I might add flying direct to UK not the US ).

A friend of mine was harassed in Thailand on his way home back to Canada. He was wearing a muscle shirt and he's a pretty big guy, they were harassing him about using steroids and went through his luggage. Luckily he wasnt smuggling anything. The whole inspection was based on the way he looked, if your still going to try it I'd keep this in mind.

Well, I suppose the key to the question is about rules rather than smuggling. If its possible to legally purchase something, and the UK allow a personal supply up to three months (I love you Britain!!) then surely it should be okay to take a supply for one cycle with you. Would hate to find out that its not okay to take some with you, but the vibes are looking positive.
