Leaving for a while; I'll miss you all

You may have noticed my lack of posting in the past month. I was training with work all month, and didn't have much time to log on.

I just came online today to tell everyone that I'm off to the G8 summit on Saturday, and I'm going to be there in Kananaskis, Alberta until June 30, after which I'm off to Kingston, Ontario, for another tasking, which I don't have much information on yet.

They are tasking 5, 000 soldiers to the Kananaskis for one month, for a 30 hour summit held on June 26 / June 27. On top of that, they will have members of the RCMP, and the Calgary police. In salary alone, I estimate this summit will cost around a million dollars per hour (for the 30 hours), but probably more.

Anyway, I won't be posting all too much here because I don't think I'll get much time on a computer terminal.

I just read an article in today's paper about a bunch of protestors coming to Ottawa for the two days of the summit. They're prepared for a "violent protest". Give me a break! Let them protest but when they start damaging property, what's the point?!

I'm looking forward to getting harassed by some of them (since I work downtown, where they'll be) so I can tell them off or if I'm lucky a little bit more.

I used to sign yearbooks and say "I always thought you were a loser" or "I hope you get hit by a bus"

nobody ever reads it until they walk away and it was usually in groups, so they didn't know who did it.
