lawyer pwnd!

When I was still in law school and clerking for a lawyer. I wrote a brief for him in a case where we were defending a kennel owner from a dog. No shit, "Buddy" the dog was a plaintiff, and one of "Buddy's" grounds for suing our client was intentional infliction of emotional distress.

My brief was very cheeky in parts. I had a friend in my class that clerked for that judge, and he said that all the judges and staff thought it was so good/funny that they made copies, and everyone read it...lol.

We won on summary judgment based on my brief. =-)

I remember one time i saw this guy about getting ready to do squats on the smith machine...and his posture was really weird..im like "hey kid, what are you doing, a good morning, or is that a squat?" and he sais "im getting ready to get seperated in my glutes"

i couldnt help but burst out laughing as this 18 yr old was trying to say he wanted to get shredded glutes (like the guys on stage at the Mr O)...there's other ways to get your glutes seperated (ham-glute tie ins etc)...and that aint one of them LOL

Heard a story the other night about a court case where the accused had been caught by one officer but managed to escape only to be caught by another officer a few blocks away. The defending lawyer asked how the officer knew it was the same man. The officer said he arrested him based on a description given by his fellow officer.
The lawyer asked 'can you trust your fellow officers completely?'
'Sure' he replied.
'Is it true that in the police lockers are padlocked in the station' the lawyer asked?
'Yes.'
'Then if you trust your fellow officers why do you have to padlock your lockers in the police station?'
'Because sometimes lawyers walk through there,' the officer answered.
