lat pull downs are causing lower back pain

I started feeling this slightly lower back pain every time I do lat pull down , it got more intensive so I stopped doing that movement, even after two weeks it still hurts, I'm concerned it could a discal hernia, have you ever experience the same pain?

A lat pull down should not be causing back pain. The lat pull down trains your lats, rhomboids and biceps. Your lower back isn't involved in the movement at all. If you have a pain that has been occurring for 2 weeks, you need to book an appointment with your doctor and get it properly checked out. Something could be seriously wrong.

If you are looking for alternative back exercises, Try the seal row ->

Give it a try during your next back workout. You can either perform it with palms facing each other to hit your middle back more, or palms facing your feet to target your upper back and trap muscles primarily.

The seal row is one of the best exercises for isolating your lats. Also play with your lat pull down grip. If a wide grip gives you back pain, try a narrow grip or underhand grip.

this is not good man. if it hurts then don't do it.

A LOT of people in the gym do pulldowns with poor form cause of ego. i notice that a lot. i also know a lot of guys who have hurt their shoulders too. it is really something to be careful of. i would lay off for a while then try it again going very light
