My official title is Director of Marketing! I am the youngest of the 3 directors and the only one with a psych degree as opposed to a marketing degree. Everyone I have talked to at the company absolutely loves their job, doesn't have a single bad thing to say about it and makes tons of money. I love going to work everyday.

thats the way you have to do it bro, love going to work everyday. it makes everything else that much more enjoyable. the only i thing i dont like is getting up early. lol.

congrats!

Thanks everyone.

NYC - I love it. The weather is way nicer than in Texas and their are hills and Mountains! Don't get me wrong my heart still belongs to Texas, but this place is not as bad as I thought it would be. I went out for the first time last weekend to a place called Adams Morgan in D.C., it is supposed to be the 6th street here and it wasn't bad...no 6th but not bad.

Velvett - I and the 2 others oversee the enitre marketing division...all advertising for the compnay is made and put out through us from fliers to T.V. ads..we are responsible for the public image of the company and of course to bring in the business. Today completes my first week but I am still a tiny bit nervous.

Forgot to comment about the girls....there are deffinetly some smokin hot northerners, i wonder where they were hiding when I would come to visit. I have been here for two weeks and been on one date...the girl is 21, completed her undergrad, and doing DNA research on the pancreas of Zebra fish to apply to pancreatic cancer! Needless to say I have never been out with a girl like that. I am used to Texas State where most of the conversation is about how hot someone looks in her short ass skirt. If they are al;l that bright up here it will take some time to get used to it.

So, do you watch people do their job and approve it?

I'm glad you love it. I fell in love with this area too. Took me 6 months, but I've loved it ever since. Adams Morgan is fun. There are some cool places (Lucky Bar, Five, etc.) along Connecticut Avenue, 18th Street & M Street.

Welcome. :rose: :rose:

Velvett - Pretty much. I only have to be in the office for a bout about 5 hours a day, 6 days a week.

Witty - I told you I retired that thing. I think what got me the job was my marketing and advertising professors letter of rec and the fact that the prof I TA'd for actually called HR and and talked to them about me. And some of you said he was just trying to molest me...hah!

NYC - We went to a place called Heaven and Hell. I am in no way racist, I had a black roomy through out college, but it seemed very colorful. I hear NY city is only a 5 hour drive from where I live. I will deffinetly be up there as soon as I get a few paychecks.

congrats bro

No need for the disclaimer. D.C. is very colorful in many ways. Great place to experience different foods, cultures & ideas. I had my own colorful experience when I moved down here. But for me it was the opposite. LOL

Actually, NYC is only 3.5-4 hours, depending on time of day & traffic. Are you in the beltway (within the 495 circle??)? Its pretty much a straight route up I95.

And, yes, there are some hot Northerners here. :qt:
