I have completely been wowed. Tonight, I dragged one of my friends to a Christmas concert that my kids from work were involved in. Elementary and middle school choruses and also beginner and advanced band.....all in one lump sum of a concert. He was a sweetheart to go, although he didn't want to. Lol. I went out with him once before. We're just good friends though. He is a complete gentleman. In addition to opening doors and just being a really nice guy, he let me wear his rainjacket because it was absolutely pouring the rain when we got out. He didn't want me to get wet, so he went without one on the way back to my dorm. I don't know, but that just got me. Not something you expect. :)
 
The better you treat a women the better the sex. I swear by this. The other night I opened every door, complimented her a fwe times, told her what I want to do in life.....we got back to her house and she jumped on top of me. I don't think that would have happened if I were an asshole. I am not saying I open the doors and things for sex but for respect. If you respect them, they know it and reward you.
 
Is this the guy who never takes his jacket off? If so, nice work. :)

Exactly. Although, this was not a date. This was me dragging his ass to a concert because I didn't want to go by myself, but I promised my kids. :) So maybe we should say it's nice to have a southern gentleman friend. :)
 
i'm not a lady but i am in touch with my feminine side and i touch my masculine side (almost everday... sometimes twice!).

um, i think any guy with brains would give a jacket or sweater to a girl in that sort of situation if he wanted any action from said girl...

seriously though....guys know guys. while i know men who always offer their jacket etc in the cold to women, a lot of them do it for the pooty.

and if he is a nice guy who touches you (emotionally :p) why arenlt u dating him as opposed to all these other fags

Lol. I'll agree with that. I've met guys that do that very thing. However, you can tell by a guy's personality whether he is genuine or not. This guy is a total gentleman through and through. We're friends, nothing more. :)

If you mean, do I believe that women should be considered equal to men, then yes. I have no problem with a guy being a gentleman or opening doors for me. Hell, I'll do the same for him.

I had a coat, but it wasn't a real raincoat he informed me. His had a hood. lol. So I ended up with mine on and his too. I felt terrible with him walking through the rain. If mine would have fit him, I would have given it to him. lol.

And btw, I'm not dating anyone. That dinner date was a big mistake on my part and one I don't plan on repeating with him. I'm kinda just testing the waters I suppose.

Lol. You're the second person to tell me that he is a keeper. He is nice, and yes he is a sweetheart. And he didn't want me to get wet, even though he's probably got pneumonia now. We're friends. That's not a bad thing.

Lol. Well, you do have the accent going for you. So you're already one up on him. :) Sigh, I won't rule anything out ok? When he and I went out before, it was very impromptu. We went to an all-night restaurant and ended up sitting there talking til 5 a.m. Like I said, he's a nice guy.

It takes a whole lot more than just being a nice guy or a gentleman or letting me wear his jacket in the rain. I'm not that easy. lol. I do however like for a guy to do stuff like that. It just completely wows me.
 
Believe it or not...there are a couple genuine and nice guys out there in the world. From what you say, I would think that he really does like you a lot but is too afraid that you do not like him. Show some interest, send him an email just to say hello. If you show him a little interest...he might realize that there MIGHT be more. You never know...

PHATchik, do what your heart tells you. Sometimes there just isn't that spark that you need or want in a relationship that is more than friends. You will know when you find it.

There are genuinely nice men in this world. Men who don't play games and who just do what they believe is right, without an agenda on the side. The same goes for women. Maybe we get hurt easier, or used as some of you might say, but we still exist.
