Are you talking about traps or neck? We used to do some things in wrestling for our neck. We would lie on our back on the mat and get into the bridge position and roll forward as far as possible. Eventually our nose could go to the mat. We would also roll side to side. This is a pretty tough thing to do and if you aren't careful, you could maybe hurt yourself. If you can't do it slow and in control then don't do them. You can also lie flat on your back and raise your head off the floor/mat and nod your head like you are saying "yes" about 50 times, then shake your head like you are saying "no" 50 times. Make sure you go fairly slow and do a full range of motion. I have seen a neck machine before but it has been a long time and I'm not sure if they still make them. You could get creative with the cable machines at your gym (if you go to a gym) and devise a way to add resistance to your basic neck movements.
