Hi,
It's been a while since I've been posting here..... Hope the good bros are still around :)

I've had problems with my knees for years.
I've noticed that it (only one knee) caves in (mostly when doing 1 leg squat aka pistols but also all squats and lunges variations)

What does that mean (muscle imbalance, tight hip, etc)?

What should I do to fix that and hopefully my knee issue as well?

Thanks!

1- See a doctor...thats the best advice anyone can give you on here!

2- REST

Good luck dude...if something's wrong with ur knee, and you exert enough stress on it, it will get a lot worse....see a doctor ASAP and keep us posted with what happens

Best of luck to you and I hope that knee heals and you get back to kicking ass in the gym!

Thanks man!

I've already done both.....

1] The doctor, chiro and ART told me different advice from ice to stretch to orthotics to squat to parallel but nothing really works if ever it made sense at all

2] I tried rest fro some time but as soon ass I got back the pain went back

as for now I "just" want top know about my knee caving in
That is part of the overall knee problem

If you having pain in one knee and that knee is caving in, it could be a number of problems. You could have a strained MCL, LCL or ACL or you could just have an imbalance in your vastus medialis, hip flexor or even you adducter muscles in your quad.

If you went to the doctor already he/she shoulf have gave you a knee evaluation and should have suggested an MRI to be on the safe side to make sure your not in danger of tearing a ligament.

If this pain is still bothering you after Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation after about a week I would got back to the doctor and ask to get an MRI. If the pain is sharp and your knee feels likes it locking or popping. Its most likely a ligament and should be addressed before you further damage your knee.

Get an MRI to be on the safe side.....it can't hurt.

Did you consider physio?

I'd say get back into the gym cause I know how badly you want to, but I"m more concerned about your overall health and your knee condition and would hate to see you further injure yourself...how long did you rest it for?
