Kirk vs. Picard: The Final Battle

capt. kirk always managed to get his shirt torn off in every episode. he was a manly man.

i don't want to see picard's naked chest. ever.

Kirk would just step right in and kick his ass, Picard would hem and haw around for 58 minutes before trying to get in touch with Kirk's feelings.

He didn't look half bad in ST: First Contact, for his age. The studio hired him a personal trainer, due to the final confrontation scene. He liked the results so much he continued working out afterwards. :Public Service Announcement: No posts about, "Did Patrick Stewart Juice for his role in First Contact." The answer is no. I grew up on syndicated episodes of the original series so I have a bias. It took about three seasons for the Next Generation to grow on me.

Wrath of Khan....before I knew what it was, Iwas impressed..lol. I liked the original episode, "Space Seed."

Capt Sisko would beat both their asses. Deep Space Nine was the best of all the Star Treks IMO. Not as many goofy missions every episode and problems that arise and resolve over an hour. It was more like watching life in action on a space station

Agreed on Sisko. What about Janeway or Archer?

DS9 wasn't popular with most of the fan base....but I still watch the syndicated episodes...it was more like a Babylon 5, which I also liked. I would rank the original first just because I'm sentmental but I definitely would class DS9 above TNG. I also liked voyager once they focused on the Borg, not to mention Jeri Ryan is EASY on the eye.

I preferred Bab5 to DS9, the storyline was more appealing and you could tell that by the time DS9 came around, Roddenberry's influence was gone. I believe the actors were better in DS9 than in previous Star Treks, however.

I concur....the final season of Babylon sucked due to the rushed storyline due to their future being "in the air." The spinoff's sucked or never really materialized.

Agreed, I liked Voyager but trapped on a ship in the gamma quadrant, you could see them straining to come up with story lines. The worst was the love affair with the half klingon chick Bellona who was a headcase. They had one love moment with him and her out in space about to die. It was bad, still watched it.

Of course the first one is classic tv, groundbreaking that changed science fiction and influenced technology. I remember seeing my first opening door automatically at the grocery store

I could not get into the latest one, too dark and boring.

I never got into Babylon 5 but a few years ago. I had some time off and watched all the episodes or as many as I could. Got hooked but I dont remember them much only saw them once in a Babylon marathon

Janeway fan myself. Back in the day when the original Star Trek came out it was the total shizitt!! Now when I watch it, it's pretty cheesy but still enjoyable. I still think of myself as a treky, just evolved to the next level.

janeway would rip them all apart
but i think picard would unman kirk by laughing at his primadonna acting job
as for first officers toss up between spock and riker as long as the death pinch was not used

Spock was much better than Riker.

Star Trek was a good thing in my life. Nothing would make you forget yo' problems like the Klingon cloaking device.

Trekkies. I'll admit I watch now and then IF absolutely nothing else is on, but i'm no trekkie.

Picard would kick his ass
