Kellan for Conan the Barbarian?

As many of you know - the new Conan the Barbarian from millenium films is set for production this summer in Bulgaria.

However, they still haven't cast Conan! and keep flip-flopping - this is the latest news.

The guy from Twilight as a Barbarian? I didn't know the fitness model look was also the barbarian look? I'd rather have John Cena or Triple H.

Perez Hilton: Kellan The Barbarian???

no surprise, how many hercules remakes have I caught on syfy starring some GQ model wannage making long eyes at the camera every 10 seconds. Yes, they will ruin Conan...it's what hollywood does. They're going to make this movie for women, not guys. Men will initially go because of the conan name, but after 20 minutes most will want to walk out because they're rehashing the same tired old script.

If that douchebag fairy boy looking dude plays Conan, Robert E. Howard will return from the grave as a zombie and eat his face off at the premier.

I concur - it's a film created for chicks. Wonder if he will do slow runs with his hair flailing in the wind too.

Didn't they have a Conan TV show awhile back that flopped? At least that guy was buff. When I think Barbarian, I don't think a GQ model.

WTF, no way, no one can ever or should ever replace Arnold as Conan. Maybe when Arnold is in his 80's and looks like shit. Whoever plays Conan needs to be 6'2"+ and 230+ lbs, no fitness model bullshit. Guys this is serious, I think we need to start a petition or something.

Fuck I can't believe this.

yep, it'll be a baywatch style montage. Just one time, just one mother fucking time.....I want to see hollywood cast some knarly grousy ole beast to play one of these roles. SOmeone that you could actually convince yourself was a legit barbarian in a previous life. The current casting trends in hollywood are starting to require to much "suspension of beleif" for me.

All Robert E. Howard protagonists were manly men, Conan being by far the most famous. Violent, pragmatic, but also intelligent. Never prettyboys though.
