Keeping Gains After a Cycle

jdef

New member
I'm 24 now and have been lifting for about 7 years and loving every minute of it. Never thought about doing AAS but I've found myself becoming more and more curious( and experimental). I have a simple question.

How difficult has it been to keep gains after doing AAS for a bit?

While I want to try, probably with something very simple since I am a newb to AAS, one thing that turns me off to doing AAS is the possibility of losing all the gains made while on AAS after discontinuing use. While it'd be nice to get bigger and stronger, I don't know if I'd even bother trying it out knowing that I will lose all those gains once I go back to lifting without AAS.

Thanks.

If your pct is solid and you stick to it as in your diet and busting your ass everyday then you should keep about 75% of your gains if they were solid as in no bloat and keeping 15 pounds after gaining 20 is not bad at all :D

If you learn and you do things right the chance of losing all your gains gets smaller and smaller. Back in the day they had no pct, then come nolva/clomid and then came hcg. Now there is much much more then this.

If course if you live in the stone age and all you use is what they were using 30 years ago then yes the myth that you will loss almost all of your gains still stands. Where do you think they story started? from people using little to no pct.

What you need to do is contact some one who has been around for years and then get with them on how to do things. So the best choice would be to send a guy like me a pm. or a guy like radar or one of the mods here on ef.

Yea, I'm definitely thinking about keeping things simple. I'm thinking about just starting off with testosterone enanthate since it'd probably be the easiest to get.

Going back to the original question, so I know that if you do everything right with PCT, diet, and training you'll be able to keep the majority of these gains afterwards. My question is how long would I be able to keep these gains for without having to do further cycles? Let's say for example I did a cycle or three and I gained 10lbs or so of muscle. Would it be reasonable to expect to maintain these gains with proper nutrition and diet without using anymore AAS for a year? I'm just wondering how often I'd have to do AAS in order to stay at the size I want.

Sorry for the newb questions but there's so much info to take in and it's hard to find good reputable sources of info online. Thanks.

BRIDGE is going to make that easier than ever. But naturally, diet and training and rest, have to be in order.

Keeping Gains Post Cycle

This is a thread I made a couple months back describing benefits of our Phyto-Testosterone. There is some good info in there and good questions are answered. It is not a pct, but can aid in maintaining gains throughout pct. Just thought you might like to check it out.

Yeap. I went and lost all my gains first cycle.. gained around 13lbs. Then soon after i was back to where i started pre cycle. Now, due to a much improved diet and a better training program i'v gone and gained more (off cycle) than i did including water weight while i was On. and I ran a half decent pct i guess but could'v been a lot better - Nolva , clomid, hcg..

Mistakes i made while on:

Diet. Not enough cals - not enough protein. Enough said.
Over training
Drinking aclohol!!! once a weak is enough to kill gains. I know that now.
Not enough sleep
No HCG throughout cycle
No anti estrogen!

Mistakes i made through pct:

weak pct
diet
drinking alcohol
over training

Understanding how to keep gains is THE most important thing. Else it's all for nothin ay!

I usually keep 50% of my gains. So it is a 2 step forward, one step backward UNLESS i go on an extreme diet of low sugar and reduced calories.

Over the years I have watched my base climb from 165 to 225.

I don't do pct at all.
What do your cycles look like? How many cycles without PCT are you talking about here?

Yes you will be able to keep these gains for years and years to come. With proper supplements, diet, and training. Like nelson said using bridge will help with this big time and a few blast of sarms in between cant hurt ether.

Unless of course you get massive and fair beyond your genetic potential.

The gains you keep assuming that you eating, sleeping and training after the cycle is on the money is mostly based on how your body is able to maintain your added size. If you are hormonally healthy it shouldnt be a problem to mantain the initial gains. The quicker you recover from the cycle the more gains you keep. Is really no way of knowing till you do it and see how you react.
I suggest you do a hormonal panel run before the cycle if you have the cash to see what your numbers are...that will help a lot in the future!
