wnt2b- you gonna get the car?

its a great car and honestly i think they should have called it something else since it in no way resembles the GTO'sof old other than its horsepower..

to me when i see GTO i think of the '68's or '69s with the mean looking grills and hideaways, curvy lines, nice paint, crager wheels etc

I bet on a twisty 2-lane highway (like AR Hwy 5) the new one would totally slaughter the old one.

a stock 69 i would agree

I don't thing there's anything you could do to make the old mid-size GM platform handle. '60s muscle cars are fun, but they're only good for drag racing.

of course positraction vs limited slip differential

Huh? What does that have to do with handling? Getting a good launch is nice and all, but it won't keep that annoying little 4-banger Honda off your rear bumper on the twisty bits of AR Hwy 5.

like you suggested in a later post, that wouldnt be hard to do. My dad's 69 Z-28 handles worse than my mom's '03 Beetle.

Is it a 302? Those were sweet, for a lead sled.

If it's one of the recent Impala SS models, didn't they only do those for about two years?

Oh, the current Impala SS. I was thinking of the '95-'96 model.

You cannot fit a V8 into a front-wheel-drive Impala.
