lol! You must visit BITOG too.

fantastic oil!
lol my husband is a big BITOG guy.

hansel -per your post:

Jiffy lubes techs are their weakest point b/c almost everywhere else, it's an actual mechanic who is changing your oil. at jiffy lube, the oil change is pretty much the limit of their ability level and frankly, they fuck up a lot.

Jiffy Lube would have been more expensive than that. They charge you twice if you use synthetic - you pay some ridiculous ~$10/quart synthetic surcharge there, on top of the regular price for a full oil change.

and I think Jiff Lube uses FRAM oil fiters.

FRAM = orange canister of death

Ok I won't bring it there ever. The quiklube I go to though has guys who actually know about cars, not some kids looking for a job anywhere and given a crash course in oil change 101, lol. Usually mechanics at a garage will have your car too long or require appt. so I never really go there.

Agree about Fram, but JL's filters are house brand. May be Fram, may be Wix, who knows...

I like going to the independent shop because I can see them pour in the synthetic oil.

If I go to a quickie lube and pay $50-$60 bucks for a synthetic oil change and have to wait in their waiting room for "insurance" reasons who knows what you're really getting and at what viscosity.

I dont get it, it's a 2006 model and you have to pay for scheduled maintenance ?

Yes do most new vehicles come with free oil changes?

Actually I could have received 1 free oil change at the stealership, but I wanted to go synthetic.

Well most brands usually offer free maintenance for 3-4 years (your warranty period). Now if you wanted synthetic and they couldnt offer you this possibility then I understand. Same for me dude, synthetic only, Mobil1 or Royal Purple.

I usually just drive a new car until it seizes. Carjack the next person that helps me, and do the same until I get caught. I've had a few good years now.

Why did you change at 1160 miles? Most manufacturers recommend leaving the factory fill in longer than that.
nad run that fossil oil for 5000 miles(change at 2.5K)do ablend for 2500
then go fully syntehtic
