what he needs too in the shortest amount of time to accomplish a movie role.
For fight club, it was to get ultra shreaded. For Troy is was to pack on the mass. His arms are thick, he's got good tri, trap, chest development that's hard to come by on 7 months of natural lifting. No one will know but his hot wife, him and his personal trainer. Someone should post before and after pics to compare his bodyparts. That still won't settle the debate! :p

i thought he looked great. he wasnt trying to look like ronnie or even arnold for that matter. he was well built and cut. that is what the average person thinks is an ideal physique. so all in all, i think he did exactly what he needed to do.
 
The dude is 40 years old and has admitted that he doesn't work out outside of being forced to for movie roles. He's also a chain smoker. His story has changed in different interviews, but the sum of his training was 7 months if you average them out. Did I mention he's 40! Sure there's lots of natural guys out there at 40 that do this in 6 months. Sure. Look how much he's shrunk since the movie, he looks like he's back to a buck fifty. His face was much thicker in the movie, and if you go through the pics of the film, you'll notice that his body parts change size. Some shots his arms look great, others, they look like shit. In his own interview he said "It included two to three hours in the gym, two additional hours of sword work and four high-protein, low-carb meals a day." 4 meals? He's not going to get enough calories above maintenance on 4 meals a day to grow naturally. Plus he's overtraining! I call bullshit, he juiced! :kapow:
