Just had hernia surgery today. Its really starting to hurt pretty bad. I am depressed about having to take time off from working out. I feel like a lump of shit and every time I cough it fucking hurts. I am coughing because they intebated me during surgery. These pain pills are not doing a whole lot either. Just needed to vent, thanks....

Just take it easy cookie!! Surgery is no fun at all. If your pain meds aren't enough call your dr. There's no reason for you to have to be suffering.

Hehe.... I just noticed your signature. I always say that line from Seinfeld and most people don't know what it's from.

hehe, yeah it was a sad day when sienfeld when off the air!!

Thanks Raina, I always feel better when a fine women calls me cookie :) ;)

been there done that bro. I couldnt walk for a day or two afterwards....and was very painful for 2 weeks....felt it for about a month, and couldnt workout for 6 months. my advice to you would be buying a nice home entertainment system and relaxing for a good 3-6 months. dont rush back into it

be strong bro I'm going through the same thing.

helps you gain perspective. there is more to life than working out.

take the pills bro. and take it easy.

Well, get better ya lump of shit!!

Just joking bro, take it easy, take your time healing....

intubated means they stick a tube down your throat so incase you stop breathing from the anesthesia they can use a breathign machine on ya

I had jaw surgery about a year and a half ago. I couldn't workout or eat solid food for 6 weeks. My face looked like shit and I lost tons of muscle.

But when I went back to the gym, it was amazing how quickly everything came back.

Recently I haven't worked out much, and I really haven't lost that much. Look at your priorities and don't get obsessed with one aspect of your life, which you can't do much about right now and is probably just fine anyway.

Thanks for taking the time to post on E.F.
George appreciates the effort..

Take care and also,
Please post up some updates from daytime dramas for us OK ?

How, in a thousand words or less, does this relate to your experiences with men as a youngster?

No I had a different kind of surgery but I am gong through the same thing as far as not being able to work out.

Don't rush it! There's no sense going to the gym and hurting yourself because you feel okay for a bit.

I have that little voice in my head starting up already. I don't know if you guys have it or not. Its the one that says you should be getting ready to be back in the gym. "quit fucking crying and go work out" , That voice.
Not today but in a few days. I am only on day 2 after surgery But I feel like a lazy peice of shit.

Are you still on pain meds? Because if you are keep in mind that they're keeping you comfy-- that doesn't mean your body is fine. It's flat out silly to be at the gym working out when you should be home resting. Let your body use it's energy to heal you-- not burn cals.

You're not lazy for taking care of yourself. Now if you're not working out because you "just had surgery 6 months ago", then that's lazy. :)

yeah, your right Raina.

I wonder how soon I can start back up on the stairmaster... I have one here in my aprtment. I like to do 45 min to an hour per day. Im wondering if maybe saturday. I had the surgery tuesday. I will call the doc tommorrow.
