just had my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday..

at first when they took my blood pressure it was 150/120 or something like that because i was nervous. 3 mins later it was 130/120 so i gues i dont have BP probems

anyway..the docs came in, stuck the IV in my arm and mentioned something about my lifting shirt. i must've passed out then because i dont remember anything.

woke up with the nurse putting new gauze pads in my mouth and TRYING to get me into a wheelchair. i almost fell because she said i couldn't walk and i wanted to show her up. there was no way in hell i could walk until about an hour later

so i get home and pop some vikoden (which dont seem to do shit but numbs it a little) and i've been icing..constantly.

i've constantly been trying to eat but if its small, it gets stuck in the wholes. so at the moment i eat orange juice, gatorade, applesauce, some soups, and liquid ice cream

doc says not to lift for 2 weeks either...

felt better today compared to yesterday. the stitches are annoying. cant wait for them to fall out

anyways, i had my wisdom teeth pulled, and i got dry socket. it was over the weekend, so i had to wait 3 days to get my mouth repacked.

it HURT < HURT . every tiime i drank, it felt like acid in my face

Vicodin didn't do shit for me when I had all of mine pulled.
If you are still having pain, INSIST on Percoset. You will feel MUCH better.....Seriously.

I got mine out about 6 months ago....really sucked cuz none of the drugs I had were strong enough. Very glad I never have to do that again.

On the bright side though...I'm pretty sure I reached 2nd base with the nurse as she tried to help me outisde.

Ibruprofen did more for me than vicodin. Vicodin sucks.

Honestly, if you need someting for pain, ask them for Percoset.

That's good.

When I smashed my toe, they prescribed vicodin for it, and the only way I could get any relief from it was to take 5 at a time. That worked for about 2 hours.

Not that I've seen. Some people are just more sensitive to certain drugs than others.

I build up a tolerance to most every drug, especially pain killers, very quickly. When I first got my percoset, just one was doing fine. After about 3 or 4 days, it took up to 3-4 to get the same amount of relief.

had mine out in february of this year. i woke up while they were stitiching me, no pain relief had worn off. I had full treatment to, gas, iv, and local. withen 45 min after the final stitch i was no longer bleeding, and the percs had kicked in. I htink it was about 2 days before i ate solids again, and that was warm mashed potatoes, eggs, etc. i was lifting light by friday ( out monday ) and practicing for lax sunday, 6 days after.

my doc is one of the best though...

Ya I had mine out earlier in the year. They stuck me with the IV and like I remembered the drilling etc and couldn't feel anything. Went in and out of conciousness. But I got percosets and didn't have that much pain but OOHHH the blood. I bled like crazy. I sat on the toilet to take a piss when I got home and blood started to gush from my nose. Blood all over my pillow that night too.

Anyway....as far as food goes I basically lived off protein shakes. The pits went away after about a month so food stops getting stuck there. Be sure to rinse your mouth with saltwater after meals.

i am eating solid foods now and the bleeding isn't bad at all. i just rinse my mouth out with saltwater after i eat and its all good

i still cant lift for another week. fuck it i think i'll go a week and a half and start on monday

man, i stopped bleeding after 45 min, and didnt bleend unless i direcrly hit the area or in lax a few times when i got hit in the head or hit others. I was lifting a week later too.

i know that some people get it done when they're awake, i didnt

it was hard to eat because

1. the stitches prevented me from opening my mouth completely

2. i was bleeding quite a bit

3. they cut through some chewing muscles and those take a couple weeks to heal completely

4. i didnt want much food to get in the holes and then get infected
