just had gyno surgery last week everything went excellent, I have noticed that there are alot of people that chat on this board who have also had the procedure so I thought this would be a good place to post.

Was your bench or other chest exercises affected at all by the surgery?

Did you wear your vest for 6 weeks but start back at the gym before you were out of it? Im thinking of going back in 8 weeks.

And im thinking of doing a cycle about april or may consisting of:
test E 250mgs wks 1-10
anavar wks 5-11 at 20 to 40mgs not sure on the dosage yet any suggestions?
Creatine with var wks 5-7, 10-12
with mid cycle HCG
nolva 20mgs wks 5-10 or through whole cycle also havent decided yet.
PCT: 2 weeks HCG at 1000 mon wed fri.
Clomid 50mgs 2 weeks and nolva 20mgs 3 weeks
tribulus through whole pct and no2.

any thoughts on above cycle much appreciated!!

And finally and MOST IMPORTANTLY anyone out ther who has juiced since surgery PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAD ANY SIGNS OF IT COMING back PLEASE!!
Thanks guys any input MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

I had the surgery in 1997... My bench wasn't affected after the surgery, but you have to wait WEEKS before even thinking of training chest again.... When I 1st went back to training chest again, I kept it really light for a while..... Listen to your Doc when it comes to getting back to training, he/she should know best.... Never wore a vest when it came to training.... Yes I have juiced since the surgery, and have had NO SIGNS of it coming back.... However, I still use Nolvadex/Arimidex just to be safe.... I have been told that it's not possible for it to come back, but I don't believe that, so use your Anti E's.....

when you say weeks do you mean 6,8,10 weeks. I was thinking about the seventh week going 50 percent just to see how it goes. Thanks for the reply man. Anyone else??

I had it when I was 17 to correct childhood gyno, it wasnt bad just nickel-quarter sized lumps under the nipple. I stopped all workouts for 4 weeks. At 4 weeks I did some light cardio. I was told if you start up too early you can develop blood clots. Just take it easy and do what your doctor recommends. Also WEAR THE COMPRESSION VEST. Wear it for the entire recommended time your doctor gives you. The vest not only serves as protection but it also helps the muscle/tissue to be form correctly after surgery.

Oh that Vest.... I actually wore the vest for 1week after the surgery, and I'm pretty sure he took it off after that..... I waited I think 6 weeks before I did ANY chest work again.... You aren't down too long, recovery time is pretty quick....

I have hasd the surgery 2 times. About 6 yrs ago and about 3 yrs ago. It has come back both times. The first time it came back I didnt do any AS at all. I had the surgery again about 3 yrs later and same thing. Did no AS and it came back. About 3 months ago I tried Proviron for the first time. 1 25 mg pill a day. and the gyno disappeared. I guess I am overproducing estrogen. It also stripped down my bf and water tremendously!!!! I had the gyno removed through the nipple. Some have it done a dufferent way. ???

I was back to light chest training within 3 weeks. My surgeon didn't make incisions in my chest, he put them under my armpits. There's been no return and I have juiced since the operation. However, my gyno was not steroid related. I got it in puberty and it never went away.

Gynecomastia Surgery Does Not Prevent Regrowth

I caution each of my patients that surgery does not typically stop male breast growth. If there is a problem with growing breasts, recurrence can happen. Any of these medical problems and or these medications can cause gynecomastia. So, if you want to get worried about regrowth, you could get yourself evaluated for each of these conditions to see if they could be a factor.

Surgery also does not prevent weight gain in the chest. Men tend to put weight on the belly and chest regions. I educate each of my patients that this surgery will not prevent further breast growth. It is like changing/fixing a tire with a nail. Fixing/changing the tire will not prevent you from getting a new nail in that tire.

I take care of many patients with gynecomastia, as many as 8 in one day alone. With all the gynecomastia surgery I have done, it is very rare to have regrowth. One patient (who had surgery on only side by another doctor) came to me with pro hormone induced gynecomastia that only came back on the side that had no surgery. His growth was massive on the one side and none on the other. His surgery by that other doctor had left a massive crater - the skin was adherent against the chest wall with normal fat surrounding the ugly deformity. One side looked like the deformity seen here. The other side was almost a B cup breast so tender that I could barely examine it. As with each patient who presented to me with current breast growth, he was referred for an endocrinology evaluation and stabilization before considering surgery. I do not know if such radical surgery was a factor or not. Even if it did, removing all fat under the skin just gives an unnatural look.

I prefer to target the gland first with my Dynamic Technique. This permits me to remove most of the gland and then sculpt the remainng tissue to minimze contour problems. Any surgery technique, even radical breast mastectomy for male breast cancer can leave gland behind. The problem is that there are fine fingers of gland that dissect between fingers of fat and can extend quite far into the chest.

You can see what I mean by fingers of gland here.

By concentrating on the gland first I am able to minimize the chance of breast regrowth. It is very rare for my patients to have recurrence. However, gynecomastia surgery does not stop breast regrowth. For patients having breast growth, I have advised for many years that they should get their problem under control before surgery. There are exceptions, such as young men with massive breasts that have not stopped growing. That is why each case needs to be individually evaluated.

Prevention of gynecomastia, when possible, is much better.

Secondary Surgery is often an option for those who had prior surgery. Such issues are better discussed during a consultation with your surgeon or someone who can advise you about your options. We help patients explore such issues during consultations or preliminary remote discussions.

Hope this helps,
