Just got this email from a buddy of mine hanging out in Sweden

I'll take American women over pliant individuals with no sense of self.

You don't think there's a connection?

Most economically powerful, vibrant nation in the world also has the most forward thinking women in the world.
It’s proven fact that over education in females can lead to ugliness, premature aging and beard growth. A woman’s place is not in the drivers seat, women should know their limits and safeguard their virtue.

Seriously, would it kill you to compose paragraphs? Oh yeah, and generalisms never make for a strong argument. Merry Christmas.

A) If you read my post you'd see I leave room for exceptions.........but those are for "EXCEPTIONAL" women

B) It would appear I struck a nerve with you.........you should think about that.

Lol, what do your points A and B have to do with considerate form?

Oh, and I never take anonymous interwebbies psyche analyzation seriously. So I'll do you a favour and keep my opinion to myself on the 'why' of your embittered post, clearly you've got issues to deal with.

Still, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

none...I wasn't even addressing it. I'm completely ambivalent to someone's dislike of the dotted line. And I was only addressing the "generalizations" accusation.

Again, if you "understood" my post you'd see it more of an indictment of our society as a whole rather than an "embittered" attack on women. If you would further reference my post in relation to Lumberg's........you'd see that I actually value, and highly so, the type of women he was describing. My only point of contention with him was that I didn't feel that those types of women were the norm in the states. And I think you know full and damn well that I'm right. Are women raised in this society to center their self worth on their physical attractiveness? Don't even begin to argue that point with me. If it wasn't true there wouldn't be people making BILLIONS off of telling women what they should wear or put on their face to be "more attractive"..........which is a relative thing in the first place. Haven't you ever heard guys talk about going to a bar and seeing nothing but a bar full of women that look exactly the fucking same? Geee.......wonder why that is?..........

red

I have 2 daughters. I'm shocked at the stuff they say about being pretty and fuck they are only in kindergarten.

My wife is a farm girl, not one to spend lots on makeup and clothes so they dont get it from her.

it's fuggin scary!!!

Every few days I remind them that "pretty and beauty is in your heart"

Never underestimate who you're addressing. I understood your post completely, and there is a clear bias.

That there, is a blatant generalization and unless you can provide empirical evidence from all corners of the states that a 'good woman' ISN'T the norm, then your assessment is simply your opinion, and you know what they say about opinions.

Are women raised in this society to center their self worth on their physical attractiveness? Don't even begin to argue that point with me.

Absolutely. Because THAT is how they are valued. And don't tell me what I can or cannot do, it's not a very attractive quality in a man.

As well, the *idea* of beauty is transitory, and 'beautification' is not singularly gender-specific. There is already a marked jump in cosmetic procedures for men (that is a fact). I'm willing to bet the more economically self actualized a woman becomes, the more she will seek physical perfection in her mate simply because part of the (main) pre-requisites for a potential mate may not be one of financial support (and when THAT happens, you'll see ManVogue and MOG's-lol :D). So this 'industry' makes money off telling EVERYONE they're not good enough, not just women.

No, because...
A) I really don't care about the bemoanings and bitchings of a group of bar guys.
B) If it's true that all the bar girls look alike, then it has more to do with strategy. The ladies are aware of what 'sells' based on popular consensus...so what?
