just got my first tattoo

and the shading done on my collarbone hurt like a motherfucker.. i dont see how some people can stand this.. it took 4 hours and it was 4 hours of hell.. but i love it..
 
congrats...they're addicting however....i just got a new one a few weeks ago...3 total now....but i want more, damn it.
 
I can't wait to get my next one! :) Congrats on the new body art.
 
dude get that fucking bandage off now and put vasaline on it and wrap it in saran wrap, and find a new artist,anyone who puts a bandage on a tat is a tool,your tat will start to heal into it and when you take it off you lose some ink,which sucks

i was considering the bandage saran wrap my friend.. i just woke up and gotta wash it off now and put some lotion on it.. it still nice an dbloody.
 
yeah dude. just keep it coated with antibiotic ointment.

Duda - get the bandage off, hide the vaseline and saran wrap. Go to the nearest drug store and pick up a bottle of Neutrogena unscented skin lotion. Apply 3 to 4 times daily - do NOT oversaturate. Let the skin get as much air as possible. Keep lotioning for 2 weeks. And as a reminder do not: pick any dead skin from the tattoo, submerse in water (bath or swimming).


As an FYI - both vaseline and triple antibiotic ointment (Neosporin jelly like compound) are both petroleum based derivatives. Nothing better for sucking the color out of a new tattoo.
 
ya the valesine was applied right when he put the saran wrap on its off now and i've begun putting a n d ointment on..

old wives tale. I'm full o ink, and I always used a light coating of triple A till they healed.

That is what I used dude. You are all good. My shit is as clear and dark as the day I got it. When are we getting some pics?
 
Tats are perfect for some folks and cool to look at as well.

I, however will be spending upward of 3-5 thousand bones to get this monstrosity off of my arm. It will probably scar and take a couple of years to remove. With missed work time for treatments, the dollar figure climbs.

I hope you really like it.
 
A & D is recommended by all the ink artists i know.......worked well on all of mine during the healing stage.

i dont have a digi cam and dont know how to upload pics with my girls camphone.. was gonna see if my brother could take some when he woke up..

jackshitt. if i end up not liking it in the long run.. 3-5 thousand bones is nothing to me ;)

Sorry if it sounded like I was flamin' ya. Tatoos aren't a bad thing and I have nothing against them, just hope you got one cooler than mine. :rolleyes:

It's a huge tribal covering my shoulder to the middle of my bicep. The funny thing is, everyone else loves it. I even liked it for about a month, and then for some dumb ass reason, it just looked stupid one day and I've hated it since. I wont even wear a tank top unless I'm at home.
 
so its on your arm? i didn't want to get anything that would show unless i was shirtless for that exact reason..
 
I'll send you one tomorrow, working midnites out of town right now (on my laptop in the hotel)...I'll put the camera battery on the charger.

It would be cool to hear an unbiased opinion.
 
It's a Canon PowerShot S70...my laptop doesnt have a driver to support download via USB with out a disk (at home).

I'll dig up a driver and post it tomorrow...l gotta go to bed.

my thoughts also.....my 6 tats are covered my "normal" clothing, unless i WANT to show 'em off.............i am picky about who i flash. ;)
 
not a bad idea.. i was already thinking about getting same thing on other side or something similar..
 
Cool bor, I dig the tribal. Big and bold lasts longer too, I've got a short sleeve on one arm that is full of detail, but you can't tell what the hell it is more than 3 inches away

I guess everyone has their own way of doing shit but I used vasaline for 2 days then switched to aloe vera lotion and lost no visable colour at all and I was working in the sun the next week after I got it.
