What should I be taking? Is Milk Thistle still any good or is there something superior to this?

Urea Nitrogen (BUN) is 29, should be between 7-25mg/dl
BUN/Creatinine Ratio is 29, should be between 6-25 (CALC)
ALT is 64 should be between 2-60 U/L

what kind of gear are u taking?

Milk thistle, NAC, tylers liver detox, liv 52, gluthalon(can't remember this one exactly, sp?), cranberry extract, and tonnes of water.

I have milk thistle tabs, liquid milk thistle, LiverAid and some Liv52 in my cupboards and I drink lots of water. Never had a problem.

Have you been drinking while on cycle?

I've been off gear for 3 months. I only drink when I'm off the gear.
so you have or have not been drinking lately because you can get a positive reading from that, that would have nothing to do with gear use. but in any case I think liver and kidney protectants should be right next to the mulit-vitamins in their daily use.

I never drink on cycle. Where's the cheapest place to buy these sups? Do you get your blood checked regularly?

So what's the best product out of the bunch? I remember a long going debate on Tylers Liver vs. Milk thistle.

its not the point whether you drank on the cycle or not, if you are drinking now and just had your blood panel recently I take it, then your levels could be up from that. Right??

Stay clean, give it some time, take Tylers and Milk Thistle & dont forget to drink lots of water.

Too many peeps here forget that a heavy workout will raise your liver enzymes. That's why I never work out within two days of a blood test. I learned this the hard way. I had a heavy work out just hours before a blood test. Nurse called me days later and told me to get my ass back in for another test. First test values were through the roof. Second test, without workout, were normal.

A heavy workout will raise them? I never would have known that. Good to know as i'm due for a blood test in 2 weeks. Thanks dude...

Don't worry about ALT and AST, those are horrible indicators. The only time I get a good reading on those is when I don't lift for a week. All they measure is muscle damage and protein breakdown, which most bodybuilders have all the time. I just had my blood tested with a week to go on my cycle and my ALT and AST were the same as when I started. Both a little high, because I lifted in the past week.

No, not enough to raise my liver values. If I drink it's maybe 3 or 4 beers at the most. I never binge drink.

Good point. I worked out the day before my blood test so it could have possibly been that.
