Jumping rope

For my cardio on CKD, I jump rope (skipping) for 20-30 minutes, 3-4 times a week. I was wondering if it is as effective as jogging. I prefer to skip because I can do it in my backyard. Thanks. :)
 
Yeah, I love jumping rope, it will amount closely to sprints if you do it fast enough. Very effective way of cardiovascular exercise.

Its good if you are serious about the 30mins. Unlike machines, you cannot monitor your constant speed or your heart rate, things I like to know just because I am obsessed. You might seem like your going as fast as when you started, but in reality you may be so tired you are going slower. Keep that in mind, and go jump.
