K to Lowpro. When sponsore have Mods and Vets in their pockets, it's hard to even get advice you straight out trust a lot of times. Kinda irritates you after a while too. "Oh yeah, brand XXX made by company XXX is the shit". Gimmie a break.

I will tell you what i think about ANY products and or services brought up here at elite, rather they are a board sponsor or a mod sponsor, i really don't give a shit!

i've answered thousands of pm's it seems helping guys who have had this exact same dilemma and its funny that all the same mods always recommend all the same stuff to all the guys that contact me, but thats just the way it is! people have their favorites and they will have them rather they get paid or not!

ur right drrman, but thats just how it is in REAL life too, and we are dealing with real life people. so I wouldn't expect this board or any other board to be any different. thats just how it is...everyone's trying to get their piece of the pie, which is totally understandable.

if people come to EF to learn and get advise, they just gotta filter out the bullshit. just like with everything else in life.

Well said.

The only thing that is different is: there is an ability to change this particualr problem.

I don't listen to what most the mods have to say here. Besides X pretty much I ignore their reccomendations. The best posters on here are the knowledgeble vets who have done it all.

Karma for you. One of the best things anybody has said in a while.

People want to hold us to this mile-high standard. We are just a business trying to do our best to make our customers happy. None of this stuff has any precedent, there aren’t any schools any of us can go to to learn how to run a forum. All the age old rules about human behavior seem to change as soon as people get behind a keyboard. We are doing our best but we don’t have all the answers. I know it is not very reassuring to hear that, but at least you can take comfort in the fact that we DO have the best interest of our members in mind. Even if we don't have a clear answer about the problems at hand, our goal stays pretty consistent, and that is to look out for the best interests of our members so that we can keep them around as customers for years to come...

and i give you MAD props to a GREAT discussion board! its just GOING TO HAPPEN when you have thousands and thousands of members posting on a huge board such as this, there will always be controversy and drama, how the admin such as BRR always seem to keep things in order and keep everyone happy i have no idea! but it comes in waves and the admin here deal with it as it comes......has to be a very tough job

I agree and I hate to even addd to the negativity.

This board has the ability to better itself each day. This happens with members and mods becoming a community. That should be the first goal. Yes, the ultimate goal is to make money. I just hate to see EF digress for reasons that can be stopped by a few important people saying, "it's time to stop."

By all means, push the products. That's life. But, is it possible to to ask the mods and vets to stop fighting in threads over these products? If that's too much to ask (even for a minor attempt) I guess we'll just sit back and take it - we all know us lower members are replacable on a daily basis.

:coffee:

Yes sir, we do hold you guys to a higher standard. It's the products you guys push and the advise you guys give that affects our lives. We must hold you to a higher standard.

The problem is that this bullshit really isn't about the products. It is personal and the products just open the doors to have a way for people top
attack eachother.

Look at the situation closely... It can't be about the products because our sponsors are all selling very different stuff... The fucking products don't compete with eachother... The people involved do.

I'm walking out the door now. I'll check you guys again when I get home. Please keep this thread civil and don't let it turn to shit. I hope the Mods will lock it if it does.
