I had surgery last year for my arthritic shoulder. The celebrex takes care of any inflammation/soreness caused by the arthritis. Say what you want, I just know that I feel much, much better taking it than doing without. I guess we just agree that we disagree. Nothing wrong with that. Don't get so upset just because we have a difference of opinion.
Im sorry, I just get a little upset on how the population follows Dr advice like a bunch of sheep and doesnt do any research on their own.
What qualifies me to make the claims I do? For one I do a lot of research. And for another I have lived through many injuries, arthritis being one of them. I had arthritis so bad when I was 16 months old my mother was told I would never walk again. And here I am at 245lbs with 28" thighs and I can squat my docs family.
Before you go giving advice that celebrex helped with arthritis you have to understand the difference between arthritis and a simple tendon/ligament injury.
There are many forms of arthritis, I had rhuemetoid myself, due to malnutrition but thats a story for another day. Many athletes develope arthritis due to deterioration of the cartiledge and the body builds up calsium and joint tissue to try and take up the slack causesd by the weakoned tendons/lligaments that hold the joint.
My guess would be your arthritis is caused due to an injury and how you handled it. If you let a tendon/ligament injury go or load up on anti-inflamatories you interfere with the healing process and the tendons/ligament never turely heal. Then your body takes other steps and hence arthritis occurs. Much of which can be avoidd if people would use their heads, do a little research and stop following blindly what the medical comminity at large recommends.
In T2O's case he likely sustained a strain/sprain which is causing his pain. Tendons/ligaments are very poor in blood flow but have very dense nerve centers and thus injury to these areas can be very painfull AND take a long time to heal. Inflamation is the gateway to healing but unfortunatly its painfull.
