Joint pain please give input

I am practicaly anti doctor when it comes to injuries. I always research everything I am perscribed which they usually write in a blink of an eye. Usually I speak with the doc minimum 15 mins about the perscription they give me, this time however the docs here in South FL don't seem to have the time or want to take the time to explain anything.. I am not even sure about my diagnosis from the MRIs. I am waiting on a second opinion. This is one reason why I am on here. I would rather endure pain and heal faster. Thanks for all the resonses so far. Anyone tell me what MSM is????????

MSM is Methylsulphonylmethane. It's an organic sulfur. It may have some detoxifying properties and is proported to increase cell permeability, thus allowing more nutrients into cells and toxins to be flushed out easier. It has the added benefit (and the most important to me anyways) of seeming to "lubricate" the joints. I noticed a big difference at 6 grams and up (the recommended dosage on most prodcuts is ~2 grams/day). It works much faster than the other joint remedies, and is water soluble and non toxic. Its drawback for me is that if I don't take it for 1-2 days my joints will be achy again, so it must be taken everyday, but as well as it has worked for me that is not a problem.
