Awesome. Congrats.

It didn't take you long at all from the 685 and I was expecting ages with all this talk of injury. Again, congrats.

damn, very nice, I havent been deadlifting heavy much at all this year, so my total still stands at 625lbs, so you have me beat very easily. I definitely should train with you sometime

Congratualtions Tweakle!

Must feel amazing to know that you are as strong at deadlifting as Arnold and Franco!

Did you get this the first time you ever attempted that weight? You looked very strong at the start, and then you REALLY locked it out at the top too. I'm inspired by you!

wow tweak...NICE job...i agree you make it look VERY easy...i'll let you know when i join the 400 club :-( (<<<weakling)

Congrats. That is a milestone indeed. My medium-term dl goal is 495 (5 plates). I was at a stoplight today and the first 3 numbers on the plate of the car in front of me were 495. I was hypnotized :).

This isn't a knock 'cuz obviously you know what you're doing, but if I rounded my back like that I'd be hobbling around for days (I know 'cuz I did it w/ 405 and had a prison limp for a while). Maybe it just looks that way on vid. I dunno.

Also, i think it's pretty funny how there's that gay-ass pink and yellow "fitness" logo behind the dude pulling 1/3 of a ton off the ground :p

guiness, I don't really round my back - my shoulders are rolled forward to reduce the range of motion the bar travels because I struggle on lockout, I have fused vertebrae and zero motion around l5 s1 so my lower back can't really flex (from some stupidity back in my early 20's).. I guess I just try to keep my hips down and my body gets into the position it wants. I dont have any back pain (touch wood)

that's the preceeding 'warm up' set from a slightly different angle so you can see how my back is.

for high rep work I'm more upright, but I rarely do it.. next week I'm trying for 500 x 20 so we'll see how my form looks then :)

db - pronated grip & straps, I read that holding onto the bar recruits a lot of the CNS that could otherwise be used for executing the lift.. my grip is pretty strong

Congratulations! That is quite an accomplishment. I was wondering if I was doing dl's totally correct and that proved that I was.

Thanks. It DOES appear at first glance that you round your back, but you're right- it's an optical illusion b/c of your shoulders (I just watched both vids like 20 times :))

I have the opposite problem- my dl's either stall an inch off the ground or they soar right up.

looking at the ontario powerlifting records I think I could do ok, but beating the records raw is one thing... beating them in a meet, having to use equipment, that's quite another

I always say I'll compete when I add another 100lbs to my lifts.

Good job bro. I was excited to be going to 4 plates for reps this month. Then I hurt my shoulder and 225 hurts! Your an inspiration!

Awesome FUCKING lift brother!! KILLING THAT SHIT!! You say you got some disks fused together? Was that due to some herniated disks? I have two herniated disks in my mid back now, you think fusing em might help? 800 in the near future. FUCK THAT SHIT UP!
