Jinotropin GH: Cadaver Salvage or Manufactured?

Spidey said:
Again, the risk of the prion disease (the name of which I cannot spell) from extracting GH from cadavers is well understood and documented. No reputable pharmaceutical company would follow such a practice. They would risk a catastrophic flood of law-suits if nothing else. It may even be illegal given the well known risk (but I don't know that for sure).

Prion disease?

I thought using the cadaver GH gave you an extremely virulent(and rare) form of fulminating spinal meningitis.

Prions were found to be behind the outbreak of the human variant of mad cow disease(BSE) back in the UK like 5 years ago.

Bro, what makes you think extracting GH from Cadavers is cheaper than manufacturing it at this point?

The company is Gensci. The website is a source post so it can't be posted

Well, if it's a legit pharm co. it isn't source posting is it?

http://www.pfizer.com/main.html

You call that a source post? Come on.

You can't tell me that it's easier to manufacture the stuff than it is to extract it from a pituitary gland for someone that doesn't have the multimillion dollar equipment or the money to buy it or the skill and know how to use it. Someone with much less skill and $$$ but access to cadavers could come out with the product.

What made cadaver extracted GH risky (and a bad rep) was the case of a football player who died of a brain cancer. It was taken from a kid (killed in a car accident) who had an undeveloped cancer...

It was Lyle Alzedo and it's called Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease.

http://cjdfoundation.org/CJDInfo.html

What Is Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease?

Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease ("CJD") is a rare, fatal brain disorder, which causes a rapid, progressive dementia and associated neuromuscular disturbances. The disease is often referred to as a subacute spongiform encephalopathy because it usually produces microscopic vacuoles, or holes, in neurons that appear "sponge-like". The disease is named after Drs. Hans Gerhard Creutzfeldt and Alfons Jakob, who documented the first cases of this illness in the 1920’s.

Yup that was him but unsure about the disease.

Again, how do you know where this GH is coming from?

Well, if I were a little Chinese guy it'd be tempting to get it from cavavers rather than spend MILLIONS on equipment to manufacture it.

Now you're being an idiot.

Anything coming from a human source is prohibitively expensive.

Give me a strain of E.coli with a plasmid containing the gene for hGH under an appropriately inducible promoter and I'll produce you grams of the shit in about 3 days. Once you've developed an appropriate expression system, you're golden - it's cheaper than taking a shit to PRODUCE; the development is what will cost you... and even then, it's not so bad.

It also has the added benefit of never having been in direct tissue contact with humans or anything else, so it's squeaky clean.

Yes it is a source post bro.

BTW, I have this freind whos uncle is a doctor, and he thinks it comes from cadavers also.

He also thinks mixed GH is good for up to 4-5 years no matter the brand.

He comes at me all the time with these idiotic statements and says "Im a doctor, I know what Im talking about"

He is the biggest idiot of all time IMO

Now you're being a defensive asshole, Dr. M. Don't start fucking flaming in the middle of a rational discussion.

I'm throwing out a question here about a chemical (or protien or whatever) that thousands of us this year will put into our bodies.

If you actually know what you're talking about then please describe to me (in layman's terms if possible) the process for removing GH from a pituitary gland and whatever equipment it takes to make it usable contrasting it against the process and equipment required to synthesize rHGH.

I'm betting that taking it from the pituitary gland is easier.

As a side note to anyone looking on, I don't have an opinion either way as to how Jinotropin is made. I merely asked a question at the top of the page. The likelihood of contracting anything from naturally aquired HGH is probably at best very, very slim anyhow. Millions of users to one slim.

You think posting the web address to a legitimate pharmaceutical company's informational website is a source post? If it were, I'd be banned from this site faster than you could say "meathead".

If you want to compare idiot stories, I know bodybuilders that believe everything people say on the internet to be gospel as soon as it's been cut and pasted a few times.
