Timeout? No, timeouts are for Plats
Mr. Olympia was in the gym I train at today. He was being filmed for what I guess will be a new DVD. He was heard saying "After this year that old man will have to retire". I'm guessing he was refering to Ronnie Coleman - LOL.
I've seen him train maybe 20 - 30 times. What I noticed today was he was doing light pump sets and his muscles just swolled up like I'd never seen before. He comes to the gym with 22" guns and a 1/2 hour later he's sporting 24's. Just a guess, but in was seriously crazy.
The most I've ever been able to pump up my arm was 19.75 to 20.5
Anyone know what makes a 2" pump possible?

Another guess is that you lift hard most of the time and not for just a pump. Much like other training you can increase the blood volume flow into the muscles.

I wonder if he's reserved his spot in the dialysis unit yet.
What would cause him the kidney problem? He only competes once a year, so I doubt if he over uses diuretics.

A lot of the bigger pro's I have spoken to are big believers in working a body part until you get a pump.
They do that then leave.
I guess when you have maxed out your body it doesn't take much to get sick results like that.
