Jaw is SORE????

TheBone

New member
Last week, my buddy says " did you get your wisdom teeth pulled?"

I say - "nah man, it's bloating from holiday drinking."

Problem is, my jaw has been sore for weeks?

Growing?

Did he notice something I didn't?

Thanks!

Are you taking any GH. Or it could be casued by a rare condition called acromagaly which is a tumor in glands that makes your body produce to much gh. I doubt it though and its probably nothing.

i'll let you in on a little secret....taking roids can cause you to grind your teeth at night...in other words anxiety while you sleep:chomp:

Do you feel a clicking sound as if your jaw joint is moving out of its socket when you move your jaw sideways or try to open your mouth fully? If so, then you should see a specialist (ask your dentist) It is called TMJ or TMD (temporomandibular disorder). I've had this about a year ago and had some treatment. The specialist told me that it can be caused by many things: Grinding teeth while you sleep, too much stress, chewing habits, injury, etc. So you better get it checked if it is what I am talking about it may get serious and lead to an operation which, many say, do not cure %100.

First check this site and decide yourself http://www.tmjtmd.com/info.html

Clicking without pain is normal. It sounds like you may be grinding your teeth which has caused your masseter to hypertrophy. It's the muscle that closes your jaw. Some signs of grinding is pain or "tightness" in your teeth in the morning. Have you had increased stress in your life. As stated As can cause anxiety which could cause you to do this. A Dentist can make you a night uard to wear which will help if this is the case. Are you taking GH?

No, no stress.

But when you say tightness in teeth, do you mean like they feel numb almost?

It's weird as hell, cuz now my ears feel plugged.

Could this be a flu?

A sust flu maybe from Mao Ling's sust?

It has just happened recently.

I mean a generalized pain that can't be associated with a given tooth.

Saying your ears fill plugged might be a sign of an inner ear infection which could refer pain to the joint. I don't know if it's realted to the Sust but the flu would make you feel sick and it doesn't sound like you're sick.

You are right, your symptoms do sound weird. If you came into my office I'd refer you to a TMJ specialist

It's been weeks so I'd go see a Dentist
