I've never really looked into the history of firearm ownership in America. I think that would be an interesting read.
 
if you look at the reviews for the book, it's not going to sit well with gun owners. Even though I plan on owning a gun in the near future, because of stark realities of this life........I will probably agree that the invention of the firearm has led to the demise of men. It used to mean something to fight someone, with your bare hands or with an object held in your hands. Now any faggot can kill someone at 300 meters or more. And from what I hear from the military......their working on combat systems that will simply require a kid who's good at video games sitting in a command console somewhere with a gamestick......further divorcing us from the realities and the sobering-ness of killing someone. It'll be even easier for people to remove themselves from their concience.

i followed this book after reading an interview with the author
(though i've never read the book)
he got bashed by NRA and i think his facts were off about a few things
but he claims to be an gun advocate
