i was trying to make the point that smurfy, even though she doesn't have 20k, proly has her money tied up in other things, such as a home/401k
whereas i have nothing but 20k and a decent inheritance years down the road.
i haven't even gone as far as to look at houses, just mainly thinking now.

lol dude i got well over $20k sitting in accounts bearing interest
then I have about $5k in 3 diff checking accts
having money in a savings acct is just as easy as having it in a checking acct. you have similar access to it but you yield interest while it sits. make the money work for you!

also, the amount of money we have aint shit considering we'll have to retire someday. i feel like Im behind where i want to be/should be financially. especially since our savings is being depleted each month with lumberg not working (his business is new and doesnt make much money). right now our expenses are more than total income. kinda sucks.
