Seriously - I did it a couple of years ago, and I LOVED the extra time to myself, no one to check-in with, - the freedom was amazing.

Then this girl came along, we went out for a drink, and we are getting married in Feb 07'

I love that freedom too. I am currently enjoying that. I am also getting laid regularly as well. You just have to find a balance and be upfront and honest with your sexual partners about what your expectations and needs are. There are plenty of women that are ok with seeing you infrequently as long as they know that upfront.

actually its really enlightening, I was so disgusted by my ex GF and by women's attitude in general that I was single for almost 3 years.

You know, the same can be said for men as well as for women. Its not the gender its the person and the morals. I provide and have always provided 50% if not more sometimes to every relationship i've ever been in.

With that attitude maybe being single is your best bet though. Becuase if you walk into any relationship, reflection on a previous then you set yourself up for failure. Find the right person and things will be damn near perfect.

I found him and I have to say that though he is far from what I expected to be my perfect mate... different life, different carreer, age difference... I don't even know of one time we have had a disagreement... its about as perfect as anyone could ever desire. And I wasn't looking for this, it came out of the blue.
