This is weekends grocery shopping
$75 at the butcher mostly boneless skinless chicken a few lean steaks
$20 for veggies and balasamic breeze spritzer
That food will last about a week eating healthy is far from cheap.

Also spent $40 had to refil my spice rack running low go through a lot of miss dash etc.

I just arrived home from the grocery store. Spend $170. That's for a family of three for a week. I try to use coupons but they dont really save me much money.

I was rolling out to my car and some dude was coming across the parking lot in my general direction and as he walked by he says "Need help?" I'm all like, "heh, no.thanks." Then he's like "How you doin'?" I'm like "fine" and I kept on about my business of unloading bags into my trunk. Then the dude is just standing outside the car parked behind me, like he was waiting for something or someone? he didnt come out of the store with any bags or anything. Not sure where he came from or if that car he was standing by was even his. But I got the hell outta dodge with a quickness without being obvious that I didnt like his presence. i fuckin hate being approached like that by random strangers. hate hate hate.

Getting approached in a parking lot is never a good thing. They either want money or you're about to get jacked. I always tell my wife that if she sees someone suspicious and no peeps around, just go back inside or get an escort if needed.

Yeah I am definitely hyper-aware of situations like that. Ive been trained to identify potential risky situations - but as I get older I find myself more anxious and even a little bit paranoid at times. Good thing I dont express my nervousness outwardly. I appear confident and strong even if Im pissing in my panties.

I also try not to stereotype but it happens.

I just spent $210. That's just me, for 2 weeks.

chopped pineapple (on special), grapes, bananas, green onions, 2 large yogurt, salad, ground beef, mega pack of chicken breasts, 2 boxes of lamb burgers, 2 bags of fries, 4 bottles of pasta sauce, tuna, 2 large & 2 small packs of fresh pasta, president's choice "memories of singapore" sauce, giant jug of cranberry juice, frozen oj, frozen berry juice, jamaican patties, havarti cheese, jam, large box of waffles, organic raisin bran, eggs, milk, large bag of jasmine rice, box of herbal tea, 12 grain bread, raisin bread, stove scrubbers, potatoes, pepper sauce, 6 tiger malt, apple crumble pie.

Well, duh, I bet even your coffee was gourmet.

I walked out of WalMart today, where I bought a baby bathtub. Anyway, some IDIOT hopped in his truck and backed up really fast without looking. I had to jump out of the way. He came about 3 inches of running me over. :argue:

community brand dark roast coffee. a local brand....more expensive than that hills bro crap, but hardly a hi end brand.

those who have spent time here will know the brand....dark, smooth, rich in flavor...... :p

Eating healthy is far more expensive than eating those junk foods and convenience foods it seems. Maybe that is why poverty and obesity are correlated.

!!!! I would have been all over that. Some guy did that to my sister with her newborn and I totally flipped out on him. My temper is not one of my finer qualities. I guess it wouldn't have been as bad if he didn't jump out of his car and cop an attitude.

Honestly, it scared the crap out of me. Why people decide to do 50 miles an hour through a parking lot or back up without looking is beyond me. I'm ultra careful in parking lots.

This guy was so dumb that he never even realized he nearly ran over a pregnant woman.

I'm just glad you were aware and avoided it. I am really protective of my wife and kids. I like to go with the wife on small trips like that just for safety reasons.

I know what you mean. I once saw a 3 or 4 year old come flying out of home depot and toddling into the parking lot. A truck was barreling through. I just BARELY caught him by the back of his shirt and pulled him out of the way. It was about 1 minute before his lame ass parents came out of the store and then just acted oblivious when I went off on them and said that their kid almost got run over. They looked at me like I was the one who was crazy.

50???? holy shit im lucky if i get out of there with 500

Also they are a greater number of junk food outlets in lower income areas. Maccas, Burger King and KFC love poor peeps, their best customers.
