Wondering if anyone hear lives or has spent some time in Italy, preferably Rome. I am heading there for a few months next fall and would like to know what I should except, primarily in a bbuilding sense. How hard will it be to keep up diet, get protein (both powder and other sources) etc. Thanks

YOU'LL BE CONSUMING LOTS OF CARBS IN ITALY. THE FOOD THEIR IS GREAT. I'VE NVR BEEN BUT I KNOW PEOPLE WHO HAVE. I'D LOVE TO GO ONE DAY.

hah thanks boys...ya im prepared for the carbs...hopefully won't put on too much...any european boys know of good protein powder sources? heard of a few UK places but...

It won't be as easy for you to eat large amounts of food like you can here in the U.S. It'll be a lot less convenient and so on, which can be expected with most other countries. I'm sure you can still get protein powder, but I have no idea where. It might take a little hunting.

thanks for the tip...have done some travelling so I am well aware of the smaller sized (or normal sized) portions of food. Anybody else?

Northern Italy fare is based on more Olive oil/ Tomato and lower fat, Moderate Carbs than Southern Italy is.

Mid/Southern Italy is into pastas and fatty sauces as well as some seafood along the coast. Stick to the seafood dishes as they will fit your diet and are relatively easy to get.

If you ask them to specially prep your food at local restu, they may get offended or at least think you are whacko..
