Nir Maman
Nir was born in Israel into a highly active military family. He served in an elite unit in the Israeli Special Forces with the Northern command. His background includes extensive training and experience in counter-terrorism and counter-guerrilla operations, urban warfare, and close-quarters-combat.
Nir has 23 years of training in Martial Arts and empty-hand combat, he holds black belts and instructor certifications in various systems including: Krav Maga, Jeet Kune Do, Hap Ki Do, Aikido, and W.T.F. Tae Kwon Do. He is an instructor under the Israeli Krav Maga Association, and is the Canadian representative for the I.K.M.A.
Nir is also a certified Use of Force and police tactics instructor through the Atlantic Police Academy and PPCT Management Systems for defensive tactics, pressure point control tactics, handcuffing, impact weapons - expandable and straight baton, weapon retention, O.C. spray, and spontaneous knife defense.
Nir is currently a Provincial Police Constable and is actively involved in training Police Tactical Units and Government Security Forces across Canada and around the world. He specializes in the instruction of Counter-terrorism operations, Close-Quarters-Combat, Tactical shooting, and Hand-to-hand combat.
