I call a mild case of BS. not too long ago when a few us citizens were killed in a suicide bombing in Israel, I made a comment that they shouldn't have been there. You got on my case for that. So what's the difference? As long as bombs are going off in Israel, it's a war zone also.

She was being a human shield right? If I remember correctly shields were not meant to deter a strike or attack but was specifically meant to absorb it.

The bulldozer operator was not operating in a planned condo development. This was not about a protestor in the US. You acn be an American citizen around teh world, but your rights stop as you leave US borders.

The area where she died was clearly a war zone. The Israeli policy of demolishing homes is done is response to teror attacks. Does Israel always get the right people? I don't know. I'd bet they've killed innocents. Irrelevant for this post, as it happens on both sides.

The point is, the bulldozer operator is an Israeli soldier under orders to destroy this property. There are tanks and armored vehicles supporting the dozer. It is a fucking war zone.

When US forces go into Iraq, do you think they were going to stop for human shields? The Iraqi soldiers were practically human shields last time, and the US tanks ran them over. That is how you fight a war, and the Israelis and Palestinains are fighting a war.

Whether either side is right or correct or whatever is not the point . This is a war zone and wars are fought to win, not to get good PR. Both sides are trying to win.

This post sums it up perfectly...thanks Matt. I may have strong opinions on a lot of things, but one thing that I figured out at a very young age was not to stand in front of a moving bulldozer unless I wanted to get run over. I am not glad that she is dead, but it is of no one's fault but her own.
