Is thread creation and posts at an all time low?

Seriously..

when I used to be on this place.. if you posted in a thread that had no new posters.. within 3-4 hours it would be bumped to the next page..

now it seems like there are hardly any threads or posts..

WTF?

or am I crazy, is anyone actually anlayzing these numbers?

They segregated the board...It's pretty slow since all music, movie, political and religious threads were moved to separate forums. Basically, they segregated all interesting chat and conversation from chat and conversation which makes it all lame.

Hmm.. I have no idea how I would care about thread counts and posts.. I don't profit from it.. I was mostly curious.. as it seemed rather dead..

Sub-forums...segregate all the interesting threads in sub forums because it was felt they created "too much controversy" in C&C. I disappeared from C&C for about a month and only posted in the sub-forums and people actually posted threads lamenting my absence....Now that shows how crazy it is to separate chat and conversation from chat and conversation. Look at any sub forum and that is what people chat about in real life. After the aints' won the Superbowl all the threads should have been posted exclusively on the Sports forum. Stuff people talk about in general conversation is Chat and Conversation by definition.

Oh well I'd honestly like to assume.. that they do have traffic numbers to C & C and things like activity charts and graphs of total posts and threads created.. things of this nature.. so I'm assuming they would be looking to rectify the situation..

meh, def slowed down but there is a core of folks here that keep it going.
i think it's a combo of factors...remember the whole chat room experience is relatively new...within the
last 10-15 yrs...so i wonder if the initial interest was because it was such a new way to communicate.
and now maybe some of that has kinda worn off, coupled with that is all the new sites that pop up,
peeling away peeps here and there.
pretty much a part of my routine to hit this site up and has been for a while...great way to pass worktime and
gives me something to do when i feed
