is it ok to do SLDL on my DE lower even though i did arch back gms as asistance on ME lower?

shouldn't be a problem right?
 
t3c, I'm not a squat/DL expert yet, but it seems to me that SLDL's would be a fine exercise for assistance. Just keep your intensity and set/rep scheme in the right range so that you're healed in time for ME squat. Also, it's always a good idea to experiment and tinker around with your routine -- you never know when you'll find something that works great for you.

I like to rotate SLDL's as assistance on DE day every 2 or 3 weeks along with Zercher Squats and GHR's... I've been doing triples with a couple singles at the end. But haven't hit a max yet.. Last week I worked up to an easy 425...
 
b-fold -- be careful on that one. I had a partner who was using these as a max effort mvmnt. He was damn strong -- he used 605 and did a set of 5 off a 6inch block in jeans with no belt. He ended up tearing something.

I was doing 3's with them and was determined NOT to go to failure. I hit 465 x 2 and MIGHT have been able to get a third rep but stopped short.

Why do these on a block? Why would you ever need to go that deep...once you go so deep it rounds your back to where it is just a lower back movt from the bottom...

Im with B fold...I dont see the point of standing on something.Personally I dont even go to the floor very often,but it seems that I still get the job done.
