Is this gyno?

You can have gyno from your own hormone levels, or rather an imbalance between testosterone and estrogen.

Men can also have breast cancer.

It is hard to determine that it is gyno as you are carrying extra fat on your chest.

Hun, the museli cutting is NOT working :)

Go to your GP and tell him your concerns and ask to have your hormones checked

I agree. Usually overweight people has imbalances between estrogen and testosterone; you could have a mix of fat, wich is evident, and yemporary gyno from high levels of estrogen due to overweight/obesity (don't know your BF, BMI)

If you're trying to change lifestyle, focus on losing weight, and while seeing progress, will be easier to realize what it is.

Bro I was very over weight at one point in my life and I tripped out about everything you mite wont to drop some pounds before you trip out or see a doc 1st

i've been lifting for about 3 years which made me lose weight whilst still being overweight I started bulking for muscle. When I get back off holiday I'm going to do a hell of a lot more cardio, possibly even put it above my lifting. My pecs look pretty fat but can assure you my arms are solid which leads me to believe it's a problem area or could be gyno, but definitly going to start more cardio. The gym's not accessable to me everyday, so anybody got any ideas of what my regime should be?

don't stop lifting man.

keep lifting, in fact lift just as heavy and hard as you were before. if not more so.

things you need to change.

1) diet

2) cardiovascular/aerobic activity

before anyone can suggest a diet for you. tell us what you eat. be specific. give us a sample of what a day of eating is like for you, be honest.

you are 19 so losing weight should be relatively simple even if you are an endomorph (natural tendency towards being overweight)

you gotta have a healthy diet with clean calories (limit/remove excessive fat, junk food, fast food, sugars)

also it is important to eat several small meals throughout the day as opposed to two big meals.

for cardio, don't overdo it or burn yourself out, just try 30 minutes of treadmill/stationary bike whatever you like 4 times a week.

try to make slow but steady progress. it will take time but the little victories will keep you goin.

also man, join a gym you can access everyday.

even if its the local Y. just get in there and do it.

consistency and commitment are key.

hey man thanks for your input. I don't drive so that's why my gym isn't always acessable but I'm looking for this to change. I live right by a running track so I'm going to start doing morning runs, can barely manage 800m at the moment though.

Diet, on a working day looks like this

8am: 4 weetabix + pint of milk + 30g serving whey
12am: Tuna/Chicken Salad. I have Tuna/Chicken sandwiches twice a week.
3am: 200g of Turkey/Chicken/Beef (This is usually snacked on throughout the way with the most of it being eaten around 3 hours after dinner)
6pm: This varies because I usually go to the gym around 7pm
Favourites would be brown pasta with tuna and pesto.

To be honest I don't think my diets not too much of an issue, but I personally believe, though strong, to be very unfit. Like I mentioned earlier, a few times I've attempted a morning run, and barely managed two laps around the track, which would be 800m. I guess progression would be the key. I'd like to hit it everyday but I just don't feel well rested enough to do that yet.

If I were to cardio and do weights on the same time, should cardio always be done after weights?

well to be honest, if you can barely manage 800m, you aren't that fit. not trying to come down on you... just being straightforward

i would say that is your biggest priority right now, you are probably one of the unfortunate few who will really have to work hard to get fit (you have a slow metabolism i'm guessing)

so the key here is to optimize your metabolism in conjunction with a good diet. you will respond very well to cardiovascular activity.

get to the point you can run a few miles or at least can sustain moderate intensity cardio for more than 30 minutes x 5 days a week (this may seem like a lot at first but cardio is actually something you can make really rapid progress in)

as far as the diet is concerned i would make sure the milk is skim, preference would be to cut out dairy completely. also watch your red meat intake, keep minimal and stick with lean cuts of steak (no ground beef).

also i re-read your first post, your arms are solid, anyone with a substantial amount of muscle will have "solid arms" it is not an area where fat is heavily accumulated, it is accumulated around stomach, legs, ass and the rest is lightly distributed throughout, your forearms and lower legs will always have the least amount of fat.

fat accumulates over your body evenly although at different rates. that is if your stomach gains 2 pounds of fat the rest of your body gains a proportional amount of fat, but you may only put on a few ounces around your arms.

you lose 10 pounds around the waist, maybe you lose 2 pounds spread out over everywhere else. just kinda how it works.

Thank you sir you have been most kind in assisting me with my problem, I now do realise I am unfit and overweight, paid far too much emphasis on lifting weights and not looking after my heart and my bodyfat.

I'm definitly going to hit the track in the mornings now on an empty stomach, I'm thinking I should probably do it every other day to start off with? And try and break 800m and build it from there. I'm currently a 38-36 waist, varies between brands, but I certainly want to hit a solid 34. That's some sort of goal for me..

yeah, empty stomach am cardio is golden.

every other day is fine to start, or you could go half the duration every other day instead of taking the whole day off.

it is important that you continue to lift weights during this time period, first off it will greatly assist and speed up your fat loss, and it will keep you from losing any muscle you've worked hard to get. plus you'll just look and feel a lot better.

good luck man. if you stay committed and don't get frustrated, the results will come, the little victories will keep you going.
