Is this enough cardio?

I do Thai Kickboxing at 6:00 pm 4 times a week, its non stop for 1 hour (punching and kicking bags, push ups, situps, ect)

Is this enough cardio or should i be doing bike or running in the mornings?

So do I. And I lost like 5lbs over 2 wks off that, so its damn good cardio. LOL

Right on, i've been doing it a year and a half with no nutritional plan so i havent really been loosing any, i was only taking it because i usally teach the karate class, and figured i could use the striking skills of kickboxing but then after i started it was a damn good workout :-D

So is this enough or do i need to bike or anything?

(im starting my eating and weight lifting program monday, so i'll be doing thai mon, tue, wen and thur and monday-wen-fri i'll be doing a split workout.)

You could do some running. You don't want to gas out in the ring right? And being a fellow martial artist, I do know that cardio is everything once you're in there. You can practise 10 hrs a day, but it won't mean a thing if you gas out 30 seconds in. Thats why boxers and kickboxers, and PRIDE and UFC guys run their asses off. I think 20 min runs should be good enough ontop of the cardio you receive from Muay Thai. If you're a martial artist you should definately run , swim or climb, not so much to lose fat, but mostly for stamina. Hope this helps.

Helps alot, i'll prolly do running then, technically i do 2 hours of martial arts because i also do Tetsu Shin Ryu(American Karate) but it isnt much cardio, and then another hour where i teach kids but again thats not really cardio lol.

Yeh, gassing isnt much fun, we spar on our birthdays according to our age (age 18 = 18 minutes) about 7 minutes were about rdy to pass out :-D

anyway, thanks for the advice and help
