Just trying to be sure ...pasta is lowest on the glycemic index along with rice, sweet potatoes etc.it seems to eb the lowest so i am jus tmakins sure it a very good idea to use it a s a carb source when cutting.

Karma to Peeps for confirming this..

pasta low on the g.i???

that's news to me.

anyways, try the DIET DISCUSSION BOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it is, as long as the amount of pasta you eat is not an overload of carbs. Only ingest an amount of pasta that will give you the amount of carbs YOU KNOW YOU CAN BURN OFF FROM DOING CARDIO or LIFTING IRON.

Satchboogie go fuck yourself prick ...it snews to you becosue your probibaly a 170lb freak asshole and if you dont know something about a subject then dont respond to it...ignorant prick...

And hulkster..ifrom what iv enoticed pasta seems to be th elowest of all carb sources so i think it would be better to eat pasta ( the amount of carbs i want from it) rather than rice whic Gi is comparibly higher or even a sweet potatoe..

Pasta is much more of a complex carb, like oatmeal...White rice really doesn't match up to those two. Then again....people will disagree with me.

Exactly bro..so i would think pasta would be better than oatmeal and sweet potatoes since it is lower...the reson i question this is becouse not alot of peeps eat it..you knwo what i mean...

My question why is pasta a ba dchoice when it is lowest on Gi scale oram i wrong about that..its slowest burning so i thin kit would be best for the limited carbs you eat when cutting..????????

KARMA FOR ANWSERS

I don't know the "technical" properties of pasta vs. other carbs, but, from a practical perspective, I never used it during a contest diet because I found myself moving towards the items that were lower in carbs thus allowing me to eat more and get the same number of carbs.....
