Is it wrong to drug test your kids?

If you suck so bad as a parent that you need to drug test your kids... sure.

LOL he started drugs when he was about 15....after numerous discussions from my parents.

I just want to see you admit that you may actually be wrong.

Treating your children with respect and telling the truth about drugs does not happen these days. I do not know your parents, but I doubt that they showed your brother both sides of the coin. I know that mine did not.

do whatever you want afterall this is america, just remember that when you want to punish them. in 3 years she could do them everyday just becaue you were a dick and said she coudln;t do them good example, in less peopel smoke marijuana in the netherlands where it is legal than in the us where it is illegal

My parents were cool about it. When we were in high school, they let us know that they werent stupid, and that they knew when we went to parties we were probably going to drink. They said they would respect our decision to do so if we respected their rule to do it responsibly.

As for drugs, they werent idiots about it as well. My parents admitted that they "experimented" in college, and were fair about talking about the no-bullshit side of drug use. My mom said recently that she would rather we smoke a joint every 3 or 4 months then to get drunk every weekend.

If this is the case, then I am wrong about people such as your brother. I believe, in general, that most kids would respond better to an honest discussion of the negative and positive sides of drug use and the real life consequences that accompany them.
