Good advice... the best thing you can possibly do is be a cool parent so your daughter will come to her when she has a problem. If you try to keep too tight of a leash she's just going to rebel.

You just have to trust that the way you brought your daughter up and the values you instilled in her are solid enough where she will make the right choices... because no matter what you do she will still do what she wants.

You have to trust the way you brought her up and encourage honesty... and try to be as open-minded as possible... i'm not a parent but thats what my parents did and it worked quite well.

i don't see what the big deal about drug use is anyway. so what if she's smoking the occassional pot? even psychedelics are totally cool in my book. as long as she's not turning into a coke or heroin fiend, don't worry about it.

experimentation will occur at some point in her life, regardless if it's now when you can "control it" or in college where you won't be able to do shit about it. let her experiment now so she doesnt go completely out of control in college. just a few suggestions from someone who's been there and done that just recently (i did tons of drugs in HS, now im in a really good university and have my act together).

She needs to know the facts and understand that she might be arrested if caught. That is important to know.

Following the steps taken by my parents, my brother is a whole new person....and I mean that in a good way.

While on drugs he never went to school and got arrested an average of once every 6 months. Now that we know he is clean, he is holding down a good job and financing himself to go to college.

LOL he started drugs when he was about 15....after numerous discussions from my parents.

Do it. I was 16 not too long ago and i can tell you that there are many kids out there doing pot. But hanging out with a girl older than he doesn't mean shes doing pot. Drinking should be your concern.
