Is it OK to have just Muscle Milk as last meal post-workout?

Part of my goal is to lose fat. I understand that we should be generally eating less and less through-out the day, so I feel good about having just a 220 cal Muscle Milk shake post-workout, only PWO meal before bed.

It seems like a good idea for me, especially since Muscle Milk satisfies any cravings, and I don't end up eating way too much food since I never actually start eating. Its really easy for me to control my nighttime calories this way. But is there something bad about doing this?

I posted on this thread where I explain more: http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/showthread.php?p=6011812#post6011812

But I'm not satisfied with the answers.

i think that a serving of a good fat (nuts/flax oil) before bed is a very good idea. This is b.c fat takes longer to digest and will therefore keep your metabolism going through the night = burning more calories.

You dont want your body to be without any food for more than 4 hrs:)

Also, meal replacement proteins are made to be digested fairly quickly( most within one hour). Thats why if you are drinking one before bed, try to get one that is slow digesting...keep the other ones for pre/post workout.

Good luck with your goals and I hope I helped 'some' . ;)

Not to mention Muscle Milk , though it tastes good, has an awful lot of extra shit in in - IMO unncessary calories. If you want a shake as your last meal (for convenience or whatever) you can use a better / lower cal protein mix & throw some flax seed oil or Udo's Choice in the mix. That gives you a meal but also a little extra fat to slow down the digestion.

Alright Sassy....another Udo's advocate. I recommend "Fats That Heal, Fats That Kill" to anybody that is serious about nutrition.
