do you guys call eachother your EF names or your real life first names,

i feel like id fuck up and call people by their EF handles
 
when digger and i met up i accidently called him digger a couple times but he didn't seem to mind
 
first time I met up with FZ to lift was kinda strange....he's not the most talkative dude intially. but now he's a true friend of mine.

we also met up with chaos mange on another occasion, hit the phils game, and drank some german beer.....good times...chaos was wasted

I have met 100's of people from forums, and the online name sticks quite a bit. I get called John Rob. Most dont seem to mind, and the ones that do will tell you. It is weird and very interesting at first, but after a while it is no biggie to meet other online personalities.

When I have met EF peeps (lumberg, Tiger88, QT, Becoming, Chefwide, FreeballinDC, TheProject, Fragadelic) it was not awkward IMO.

ok well maybe a little bit. lol I remember Tiger being really nervous. we met at my gym, and he said "Ive never met anyone from the internet before"

dude, i was supposed to meet freeballin....him and FZ were at my favorite bar in philly, and I was across the street drinking for a few hours with my bosses at the company i was consulting for.....so I walked in to the bar they were at, didn't see them, and left...missed out i guess

I have never met anyone in person. I want to though.
i talk to people outside of ef and I still call em by their ef handle.
 
I've had three. None were awkward at all. Although there were many conversations where we would talk about members by their handles, which was pretty lame.
 
I met dirty D a few years ago. It was pretty cool, we went to hooters.
It's too bad there's not more EF'ers in the northwest.

it's not awkward at all. no more than any other situation in which you're meeting people for the first time. the conversation flows well enough, lubricated with alcohol, etc.

it does get a little bit weird when you wind up in some alleyway in the financial district, handcuffed to a sign and wearing only assless chaps that say "i got some buns in my oven."

It was awkward for me because I typically don't like being around people I don't know (and don't even like being around the ones I do know).

I think they all looked at me funny because of my Southern accent.

I met HH first and she was talking to Soklu at the time (weird huh?)
I could barely make out what Soklu was saying even though we live in the same state. I don't guess I speak hillbilly as well as she does.

In all, everyone was pretty cool. I don't talk much even around people I know so I let them speak most of the time. For HH, talking seemed to come naturally.

Bunny, Chefwide, Jenscats, nycgirl, HH, Frisky, Sassy, Ulter, Shadow, MTS, 4everhung....all were cool people in my book.

I never met up with anyone from online chats, for whatever reason. I could see it being awkward at first, but like Jack angel said with a little alcohol and a Joint, it would be all good

I have met a few peeps... all of the above that nice guy stated ... oh 4ever... He didn't even know who Frisky was. LOL... I met Radar, Scottsman, Spatts, TheProject, Bigguns16, and a few others that are not around now. I didn't find it weird at all, it was really nice to put a face with a handle. BTW, everyone besides aap was exactly like I expected. aap was a little bitch...
 
i would hate to go to one of these things and be quiet. it's easy to do, but it feels lame. i want attention. i want them listening to my words, laughing at my witticisms, complimenting the abundant faggotry of my jeans, etc. if i'm there, but don't talk much, it might as well be like i wasn't there at all.

Honestly there are a handful of people here I could see myself easily and comfortably getting along with.

I used to moderate a sports related message board for my alma mater and it was pretty active. At least as active as EF if not more so. There were just as many big talkers, loudmouths, clowns, flamers, etc….Anyway, about a year after I graduated I went down for a big game and a group of like, 30 of them were meeting up at one of the local bars afterward and I was coerced into dropping in. It was almost like a social experiment meeting all these aforementioned extroverted-on-the-internet types who were, in real life, socially awkward nerdgeeks who mumbled and stared at their feet the entire ten minutes I was there. A few of them seemed pretty cool but most were painfully shy. Sometimes I wonder how many people here would be the same way.

I found the larger group meetings more akward I am better among a few then a whole bunch of people. In group I tend to watch and listen I am people watcher. Last meet up I watched HH flap her gums for like 3 hours girl can talk!
 
Being that i live in europe i havent met anybody. and i think most of the people that wanted to meet me has stopped posting here.

I have met alot of norwegian people from norwegian training forums, and thats always a blast. Sometimes it has been "hey, arent you mrmuscle?" but we quickly get past nicknames. Although there is something about a woman screaming "oooh mrmuscle, yeees".
