Is glutamine worth taking?

Is glutamine worth taking? Since i am using amino acid tablets, and on the label it is written that it also contains L-Glutamine acid.

if it works for you yes if not no

try it in high dosages if low dosages dont work

i only like it when im working out 2x a day then i use like 40-60g's of peptide bonded glutamine and when im doing that it is the most valuable OTC supp i use

When you are cutting bodyfat glutamin is nice to prevent muscle loss.I would rather take glutamine than amino acid tabelets. You dont realy need it if you know how to eat.

I never get sore when I take it. It gives me more energy and I seem to get pretty big when I take creatine with it.

If you can afford enough of it, yes it's good. I'd use it all the time except gear costs less since I homebrew it. Even if I capped powdered glutamine I couldn't afford it. Damn I need a better job, like being a street-corner dealer or something.

it helps me a lot but it is a personal thing... It totally helps me with recovery... When I am cutting and doing cardio in the morning and weights in the night I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night with CRAZY muscle spasms... If I am taking the glumatine with amino and potassium that really helps to cut back the spasms and make them less intense... Sometime I am in tears trying to walk them off and they just come out of nowhere.

only when sick, or getting sick.

Same here, whenever I feel a cold comming up, I start glutamine at 40 grams a day and feel better within 2 days. Good for the immune system, but doesn't do much for muscle bulding.

As far as muscle cramp relief, I'd be far more vested in saying that its the Potassium supplementation that is the primary cause. Being that potassium plays a direct role in muscle function.

YES IT WORTHS !
LAck of glutamine makes u feel like u'd be overtrained .If u feel like that and u know there is no reason for that then it may be caused by lack of this aminoacid. It is very important for bodybuilders. Also it maintains u in good health , something related with imunity system. So u r less vulnerable to desease.I think 5 g after every workout its enough.

I've heard that Magnesium can also help with muscle cramping, but I have no studies to support it.

I find it is quite effective postworkout, particularly with insulin. The slin may help overcome the limited availability though I don't know much about that. I know that I hate to spend cash on any supps, but I fork it over for protien and glutamine. When I drop the glutamine I do notice a difference, particularly with respect to recovery and overall energy and wellbeing.

I recover faster when I use EnerG glutamine peptides. This time of year I wouldn't go without it. Not with all the flu viruses flying around.

There's a vast difference between your Glutamine peptides and the standard "tub-o-glut" that most people use. Am I correct?

Yes of course. Glutamine Peptided are bonded to another amino so the Glutamine actually makes it into your blood without being destroyed by stomach enzymes. Acetylated Glutamine is the other form that delivers the glutamine for immediate absorbtion. So they are two different ways to insure you keep the glutamine you take from being destroyed.

i do a protein shake and 5g of glutamine before i workout and i notice a huge difference in my energy level. i also take another 5g before i go to sleep and it really helps with soreness. im a rugby player and soreness is very important to keep to a minimum for me.

I take it for insurance, I use EnerG after every workout. As far as I'm concerned it beats the heck out of taking amino acids, and I know it definitely speeds up my recovery.
