Is Diet Soda bad for you?

I never used to drink diet soda except when I ate out, and then it was always diet coke. Well, I started just drinking water always, but I wonder if this is going overboard? I mean, diet coke is listed as having 0 carbs, 0 sugars, 0 calories. However, I wonder if the diet coke at restaurants is the same???

no they make a special kind for restaurants with sugar in it
j/k bro yeah its all the same
it just tastes different cos they usually serve it with ice which waters it down somewhat

The occassional diet soda isn't going to hurt much....but watch out if you're running keto because some people are really sensitive to artificial sweeteners (aspartame, etc.,).

Both Saccharin and Aspartame have been shown to have a negative effect on brain cells. Another one of those things in life that should be approached with moderation.

i've heard that carbonated beverages leech calcium from you body. any truth to that?

yes.

blood acidity rises due to carbonic acid, calcium is needed to buffer that acidity. if you arent getting much in your diet, your body will seek out calcium elsewhere...ie bones. thats why teenage girls are discouraged from drinking soda excessively. not a good situation for them later in life.
